Join Humanities Texas and the McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics for an afternoon presentation and book-signing with Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Oshinsky on December 2, 2016, at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Oshinsky will discuss his new book, Bellevue: Three Centuries of Medicine and Mayhem at America’s Most Storied Hospital, which chronicles the history of America's oldest hospital and in so doing also charts the rise of New York City to the nation's preeminent city, the path of American medicine, and the growth of a civic institution.

Free parking is available in the street-level lot directly to across from the Law Building at 1001 Bissonnet Street. Additional free parking is available in the street-level lot on Main Street immediately to the North of First Presbyterian Church. Paid parking is available on a limited basis in the MFAH Parking Garage at 5600 Fannin Street.

Books will be available for purchase at the MFAH Brown Auditorium Theater.
