On October 26, 2023, Humanities Texas hosted a conversation with Juan David Coronado, associate professor of history at Central Connecticut State University, titled "Baseball on the Border." Moderated by Aram Goudsouzian, professor of history at the University of Memphis, the conversation explored the significance of baseball in Mexican American communities in South Texas. The conversation was followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
