Commencement Exercises at the University of Michigan, 1964
President Lyndon B. Johnson delivered his famous “Great Society” speech at the University of Michigan’s commencement on May 22, 1964. In the speech, Johnson outlined his plan to combat poverty, preserve natural resources, and improve education.
