Christopher Columbus: The Genoese

Bilingual – interpretive labels in Italian and English

What do we know about Columbus? To tell the truth, not much, for the verifiable facts of his life are not especially relevant to modern experience and most of what we have been told is unfounded. An Italian adventurer who sailed under the Spanish flag, he was very much a man of his age, made up of contrary elements. This package of resources is for humanities programs that seek to understand the life and times of Columbus and his impact on the modern world.
