Program Intern

Humanities Texas is currently seeking two program interns for spring 2012. The position involves general administrative tasks such as filing, assembling mailouts, data entry, and preparing materials for meetings, public presentations, and teacher workshops. In the process, interns receive a good introduction to the day-to-day operation of a busy nonprofit cultural and educational organization. Interns with specific skills and interests in education, design, and/or web publishing may be assigned specific responsibilities in their areas of expertise.

We seek students who are hardworking, flexible, and able to work independently. Familiarity with common word processing, Internet browsing, and email software is essential. Familiarity with Filemaker is a plus. As noted above, students with special expertise in education, design, and/or web publishing are encouraged to apply.

The internships are unpaid, unless successful applicants receive support through the Federal Work-Study Program.

As soon as possible, please send a resume via email summarizing your work experience and computer proficiency; include contact information for any references you have. Send materials to Eric Lupfer at elupfer@humanitiestexas.org.
